Our hero

My wife took me to Medieval Times in NJ for my birthday. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but had an awesome time and would recommend it to anyone!

We paid a couple extra dollars to see the torture chamber, where replicas (?) of old torture devices were displayed and (necessarily) explained. It was fun, but certainly gruesome.

The show was awesome…we had a meal of soup served in a pewter bowl, bread, and then a small chicken + potatoes + ribs, with no utensils required. Luckly, we didn’t have to employee dogs to lick our hands clean.

During the meal, we were entertained by a impressively choreographed action play with impressive fights, lights, and a fun to follow storyline. Each ’section’ in the arena was also assigned a knight (denoted by color, ours — the yellow knight) to cheer for. [SPOILER]Our hero ended up being the play’s champion…he saved the prince and beat the bad guy, despite an unfair hand.

My wife did a great job picking out this present!

oh, this is the best result from my many attempts at panning. it is our hero performing a feat of skill during some games early in the show.
